1984-2008 digging memories
Baraque de Fraiture - Parker's Crossroads 1997
589th FIELD ARTILLERY POSITIONS
DECEMBER 1944
On the exact spot where Barney Alford had its 105 howitzer gun installed.
Discovery of two shell-casings, some empty hand grenades and dozends of caliber .50 cartridges
The deterioration of the tree leaves left a nice natural print on the casings.
PARKER'S CROSSROADS
This roadsign dating back to the 1930's had been used by a GI to make a nice roof over his foxhole.
It was discovered untouched on the spot some 50 years later. There are still some schrapnels damages on.
